I am only a consultant here not full time, but I know that noone backs anything up except the main server. I also know that...
Actually guys I should have told you why I need to know who made it. It was screwed up from day one.
So I wiped the drive and reloaded everything. Then it started losing files at one point there were only about 150 files in the system32 directory. So I used the ERD to fix it, and I noticed...
I have a used Dell (the owner bought it, not me) and I need to identify the HD. It shipped with a 10gb drive in 2001, but it now has what Win2k sees as a 'Platinum 060G 2F7200'. I pulled it out of the machine and there is no manufacturer tag on it, It just has a plain Silver case with PLATINUM...
I know there was a utility in NT/2000 to do this, but I need to do it under XP pro. I don't want to force a login because it's on the voicemail system, and the user has admin rights.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
