Thanks for the reply. My Db engine was running, I am on arcserve 2000 version 7. In reading another thread i saw where to go to double check my server name and I did just that and then used the name I found and it worked, to a point. I am still working on getting the actual utilities to work BUT...- rwwmsw

HI, this thread talks about not being able to get the arcserve utilities to recognize the server name used in the line commands. There are examples of what to use and the questioner did just that but it still did not work. Eventually a reboot fixed the problem, based on the response shown...- rwwmsw
