Can I install it on another computer, say at home for practice with it still validating? Says I have 5 CALs, but we only have one 2003 server while the rest are 2000.
I have a few extra CALs. Office domain is running on 2003, 2000 and 08.
If I were to set up a a practice server, install a copy of server 2003 and set it as a new domain, will it screw up the existing network?
I want it to be totally separate, just sharing the current internet connection for...
I see 'Fwd no answer>' when I enter capabilities.
After that it;s 'Fwd on busy...', 'DND on Busy:N', 'Handsfree:Auto', 'HF answerback:Y', 'Pickup grp:1', 'Page zone:1', 'Paging:Y', 'D-Dial:Set1', 'Priority call:N'...etc
That makes sense to me now, thanks.
So my steps:
1)Go to user's phone, login and setup redirection.
2)Ensure redirection is set to Y in administration
?)I tried to check FNA by going to Terminals and Sets, Capabilities but could not find CFNA per this post...
Further point that when it's activated it just rings and rings on his phone and doesn't forward. I doesn't go to voice mail either, just rings.
Anything I have to change in the admin end on the phone or in the computer Call Pilot Manager interface?
Thanks again Curly.
So I logged onto the user's phone, pressed 8 then 8 and set that up and it forwards to the cell phone directly instead of giving the option '7' for cell phone, or VM.
Is it possible to set up a line so the caller can press a button and reach the individual on another number (cell phone) instead of being directed to voice mail?
Thanks
Thanks for all the help, I got it working by doing this:
*) Relocation set to 'Y'
1) Plugging in old phone to unused jack
2) Old phone retained settings
3) Plugged new phone into old phone's jack
4) Old phone retained settings from unused jack
So it did what I wanted and picked up an old...
OK gotcha.
1) Turn relocation to 'N'
2) Set forwarding, unplug old phone
3) Plug old phone into unused port
4) Plug new phone into old phone's previous port
Edit:
It's a similar situation to this post: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1524092
So if I put the old phone back, change relocation to 'N' and put the new phone in, the new phone will have a new extension?
After setting it back to 'Y' and I plug the old phone in, it will have...
Unfortunately I read faq799-2359 on relocating but could not get this working.
What I want to do: Take phone + DID/extension of employee on leave and keep it. Placing new employee at location of employee on leave; would like to give new employee a new phone + new extension.
What I have done...
Oh boy, I think something is messed up.
I changed the greeting like this:
--Function 983
--AA
--Table, hit 1, OK
--CHNG in AA menu prompt: N
--Prompt, hit Prime, then record
Then whenever I try to test the main line it rings once, then quickly goes to the greeting and the receptionist doesn't...
Sorry, two more issues that have been giving me a hard time.
1.) I would like to change the Company Greeting. Is this done through the general_delivery mailbox? The 'Prime' Greeting? I just go in and record it? The greeting is for the main line where customers call and reception has the...
Thanks RikRodgers for the quick response!
OK, I went in and added 254 to the Prime. Under "Rec'd#" I see None. Is that supposed to be where the entire 7 digit DID is, or the target extension (254?)
