I am at microcode level R1.34.408F and I get Media errors on different tapes. The other drive I have is at R1.35.409F and it runs those same tapes with no errors. I assume I need to load my other drives with the latest Microcode. Can I copy it off the new drive and reload the old one. Or where... -

What is the procedure for preparing a new tape to be able to run wr/rd test on the 9940B tape drives from its operator panel. I really need a manual with fsc codes if anyone has them. Also other than STK, Who can do repairs on this drive.
