    XP: Have tried everything but can't make "ipconfig /renew" work

    The fact is that the router is OK. That is, that router is passing traffic from and to my other laptop o2 attached to it. In fact, I'm able to manually enter an IP address for the broken laptop o1 and send pings to the router and to the world. No names though (ping www.google.com doesn't work...
