It is meaning the cartridge holder sorry i dont know the tech term it hods the 3 cartridges then I had to screw it back onto the computer looking board (the thing that reads the cartridge) but Im going to unscrew it and screw it in again. It does move freely right now though.

To answer the first question when I print it pulls the paper all the way up just like normal, then just before it prints it says out of paper "load paper then press ok" I tried what you said open the back and see it I can pull it out from the back. But I cant because the paper it fully around...
the paper does not slide back I watch it and the paper goes in like normal and when it starts to print it will give me the message out of paper with the paper in correct spot ready to print. It will say out of paper then I hit ok then will say paper jam then I hit ok then it will spit the paper...
