    by the way we are running apache 1.3.29. So is it worth upgrading to new version 2.0.? which could help resolve this issue ?

    I have seen following messages in the log files on apache. "-" 408 - "-" "-" "-" and then apache stop to respond to request from outside though it works from inside. There were around 600+ messages of this type. Any help on this would be appreciated.
