This is not a reqular p/s 2 mouse. The amarda is a laptop and I do not currently attach an external mouse. I am using that small mouse key that is located between the G,H&B keys. And yes, I am fully aware of the rough surface.

I have a Compaq Armada system that seem to have a virus. I scann (with Norton) and I get 0 viruses found.

I rebooted the router as suggested but unfortunately it did not release the IP address back to the default. I tried to Ping the 192 address but got destination time out response.
I am about the try all the other suggestions and will report my findings.

Thanks for your response. But I am not sure I understand your question. I am not sure about a console port on the back but I am sure that the default IP address is 192.168.1.1. I don't use telnet so it must be a port but I am not sure and today I am on travel so I cannot look at it...
