Here's what I found out :
If I add some server name/ip to the hosts file, then I can ping them using their names. But if I add them to the lmhosts file, I cannot ping them using their names... In NetConf, the name lookup order is hosts NIS dns , so I think it doesn't use the lmhosts file at all...

Actually, I do not connect to it. I do use a username/password existing on the domain, so if it needs to authenticate, it should be ok... Else then that, nothing is setup to login or share files with the NT domain YET...
