Geforce FX5900 Ultra issue!!
Thanks for the response Dakota81... I failed to mention that I usually use the DVI port, but I did swap to te usual VGA port too, to see if this was the case. It's not just the mouse causing the (obscure sound from my GFX card), when in a game and I'm lookng at some intense GFX effects i.e...- Jeffus

Poblems with PNY GeForce FX 5600
I would also reinstall DirectX after installing a new GFX card and drivers. This often cures display issues. If you have a refresh rate issue you would see loads of raster scan lines on your monitor.- Jeffus

OK, I have just installed my new graphics card and ALL the relevant software/drivers etc...
