    Can anyone help. I have installed frontpage server exts on apache webserver and they work BUT there is a problem with authorization. Basically it doesn't ask for any, which means any old bod can change anything. Does anyone know why?

    Thank you GunJack, I hadn,t set the NameVirtualHost directive. I have another issue... I have now installed the Front page 2000 extensions. Initially I could only browse one of the two sites...have now re-applied the extensions and can't see either. I really am fumbling around in the dark here...
