Hi there, I was wondering how I can tell the difference between 35/70 and 40/80 tape's. The actual tapes are not labeled and I have both types of drives but need to know what tapes go in what drive.
Thanks
I got the same darn problem things were working fine and then BAM scsi port error then after that the log reads cannot read tape hardware error. After looking around and talkind to CA those good for nothing !@$!$#%$. I still cannot fix it I have changed the server but same thing compaq says it...
So is anyone out there that knows whats going on here, the restore job starts and then asks for the media, but it's already in there, I can see from the device that it's the right one and all, any one I have tried everything.
no I have put it in a empty slot, there are 24 slots in the tape drive, when the restore begins the tape is moved to the tape reader but then the alert pops up saying please mount the specific tape, but it's in there, I hit ok and the message pops up right away again,I hit cancel and the job...
wussup everyone, ok I'm trying to do a simple restore job I have placed the media in one of the slots and when I run the job the "Please mount media" msg pops up so I hit ok but it just keeps poping back and the job cancels. Any one know why this is happening.
thanx
I appriciate it
