I have tried to do this from both the administrator and user accounts.
As the administrator, I should be able to change user rights to folders, but like I say, when I right click and hit Properties, nothing happens.

As an Oregonian, I would agree that this is the most eloquent solution to your problem. Sounds like we both have very similar setups. I use mine for the same purpose, testing applications with SQL Server. Good luck.

Apparently, the driver I downloaded from www.ati.com was incorrect causing the problem. Everything seems to be working ok now.

I was playing around with 2 video cards. 1 AGP and the other an ATI All-in-Wonder Pro card. I downloaded the most recent driver for the ATI card and restarted the computer.
Now the problem: The computer operates normally, with one exception... The Windows 98 startup screen NEVER goes away...
