Does anyone know where I can find a driver for and onboard network adaptor on a P4VXASD2/P$VXASD2+ motherboard running SCO OpenServer Rel 5.0.7 installed?
I just configured the integrated Ethernet adaptor on the motherboard for an SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.7 system. The driver installed OK and the adaptor was found (verified with hwconfig –h). I can ping 127.0.0.1 and the machine’s own IP (192.168.1.59) with no problem. I can not Ping other...
When I type ‘hostname’ I see a one name (e.g. cfc.x.com), which is not the correct. If I go to the Network Configuration dialog box I see the correct host name, ip, subnet mask etc. Why is the hostname not being changed to the latest entry?
Thnaks for the info.

I have digged into this problem a bit deeper, and I find that the shell script sets its own copy of DISPLAY variable (this explains the reason why setting the DISPLAY variable before running the script doesn't help). The script is like this:
. . .
DISPLAY=cyber2:0.0

I am attempting to install SCO in another machine. Everything seems to be working. But one of the program fails. When I run the program like this (directly at the command prompt of a text-based terminal session):

I get the following error message:

I am trying to setup a NIC card in my SCO machine. The machine is running SCO OpenServer Release 5 Version 5.0.6. Yesterday I downloaded from Caldera’s ftp site and installed rs506a. I also downloaded the NIC drivers from the same site. The NIC is a 3com 3C905-TX. To install the drivers I...
