Thanks, that's what I thought. The hard drive in question won't run a scandisk. It's locking up and has "some physical damage to the drive" according to the error message! Since it gets used 24/7 (we're a radio station running music on hard drive instead of cd's), I'm going to save...
Is there an easy way to tell which hard drive is which? I've got a system with 3 20gig hard drives and 1 is going bad. When I open the case to replace it, which one is it? It's the D drive. I'm guessing the primary ide master is the c drive. Does it follow that the primary slave is d? Help!
I don't know if you've found the answer to this or not, but when I have had the issue (and yes, I have on a number of occassions), it has been a problem with the server that was hosting the site. They had a virus that was writing data to the drive that my site was on and filling up the space...
