I need to know a couple of things on testing sharepoint portal server 2003.
How would i approach testing...
1.Security
-?
2.stability
-?
3.capacity
-?
4.performance
-?
5.compatability - esspecially with differant versions of office (2000)
Please if anyone would happen to know a tutorial it...
I have to ask a few questions about outlook and sharepoint, i know for a fact they are both compatible with one another, and I know for a fact you can set up mailing lists etc.
One question though.
Can I possibly set up Public Folders in Outlook with information regarding Site Groups...
rgr that,
To bad i did not support the server being to be set up. But they went live with it, i cant believe it....we have a underpowered server, and they are going live with it...
Meh, not in my hands anymore, but if i post anything else, it will possibly be on data transferring, if i ever...
meh i hope i get this off my back by tomorrow lol.
I need to know though, when data is stored is it stored into the IIS terminal? Or is it stored right off the main sharepoint server...do you happen to know what i mean?
Enven.
thank you so much...believe it or not...after I thought about those questions, I litterally went to the IIS manager on the server, and found that information...
I thank you so much for the information! The funny thing is, i did not expect to be working on a Sharepoint Portal..and they threw it...
Thank you for the information...on the same note as question 2....I am trying to find out how to let the public users See the front page of the sharepoint Portal page...without having to login...I went to site settings gen settings then manage users, when i went there I looked over the data...
Ok, I have to do some documentations on Share Point Portal server 2003; only problem is I need to find out about how much the server can handle.
Specs:
Dual p3 1.2ghz
1gb of ram
300gb HD. (Fiber Drives)
Running it off a SQL server.
We have around 100 users that will be going to be roaming...
