Creating the batch files is very simple, but we need more information first.
Which drive is using w2k?
Which browser is being used (they store temp files and history in different locations)

Hmmmm....
This is just a guess, but perhaps there is a hard coded reference in the file itself or a dependent file that is on the local drive of the other users, but not on that user's local drive.

I would highly recommend the purchase of an uninterruptible power supply. Depending on your needs, they are VERY inexpensive these days, and in the above situation, you would have not experienced any file loss if you were actually in the process of saving the file.
