Change a digital ext to an analog ext

Telecomboy: What do you mean "currently"? I'm replacing a digital phone with an analog one, so it's "currently" plugged into the same port. 251 is a digital phone extension. I'd like to remove the 4406D+ connected to it and plug in an analog cordless phone with it _still being_ extension 251.

Change a digital ext to an analog ext

Thank you both for your replies. I just want to be clear here: Ext 251 is currently digital. I would like to plug in an analog phone into the same wall jack and have it still be extension 251. Both TouchToneTommy and Telecomboy seem to believe that I'm doing some sort of exchange of...

Change a digital ext to an analog ext

But I'd like to keep the same extension number (it's the same person, just now with a cordless phone instead of a 4406D+), I just want to change it from Digital to Analog. Is that the place for it?

Change a digital ext to an analog ext

I have an extension that needs to be changed from a digital (4406D+) to a analog "toy" cordless phone. Where do I go about letting Merlin/SPM know that he doesn't have to program this phone and just use it like a dumb, toy phone? My searching on this topic has brought up "System Renumber" but...

    Changing extensions in WinSPM

Understood. I was trying to avoid punching down to change extensions for a few reasons: While the trunk blocks are labeled and in order, the internal wiring is a mess. The blocks are not in any order, the labels on the blocks have zero relation to what is currently on them, and it looks like...

    Changing extensions in WinSPM

    I have that. We have many extensions that have no label but are assigned to a port/addr. Something like this 1/23 302 Mark N N N N U 3 N 1/24 303 N N N N U 3 N Does that mean I can use the above procedure to move "302" to "303"? Do I have to "delete" ext 303 first...

    Changing extensions in WinSPM

    Changing extensions in WinSPM

Hello there. I just got the a Merlin Magix phone system dumped on me with just about zero documentation. (I have and read the manuals, but...) Anyway, I need to move a few extensions around, but what I've read on this forum doesn't quite work. The system is in Hybrid/PBX mode. 1) All my...
