This is probably a "no brainer" but its the end of the day and I'm tired and I'm sure you wonderful programmers do this stuff in your sleep (what I should be doing now....)
I want the field pointer (cursor) to jump to the next tabbed field after a set number of characters are entered into the...
Thanks Striker - with over a 1000 records (YTD) I think it would be more of a task than I want to take on. I think what I will do when time permits is make an enormous IF statement that would link a key field to the related customer and location fields. In the long run that will save a lot of...
I recently starting using the "type ahead" feature in my FMP ver 8.0. Unfortunetly, there are a lot of typos in the type ahead memory - how do I clear this memory so I can input accurate data.
Thanks very much for your help.

What a dummy I am - did not even take notice of who responded. Thanks for the great tip Jean - I humbly apologize for mis-directing the credit. Hope I can tap your talent in the future as FMP has just sucked me in over the years but still have lots to learn about it. Mike

Scenario: have 3 types of truck drivers, in house, local contractors and freelance contractors. One of the functions of my DB is to tract costs of each. The values for the "in house"...
Is there any consequence to overlaying (2)fields when data will never be in both fields at the same time? I tried to figure out a "IF" statement to bring data from one field into another but I already had an "IF" statement for the main field and ran short on time to figure how to accomplish a...
I found the error in the layout causing my concern. Somehow I had a file counter crossing over from the header into the main body - when I increased the header area a bit and re-positioned the file counter squarely into the header area I was once again able to manipulate the layout. Don't know...
Wow! What have I done now? I've been tweeking a database I created early last year to track customers, deliveries, tonnage and cost of delivery. The more I work on and improve it the prouder I am of it but this morning I may have went to far.... Don't know what I did but now when I am in layout...
