    Some further info. I have SP2. It appears the software firewall has the ability to open ports. I'm going to try that. Do you know if 1723 is udp or TCP? I haven't found protocol 47 but I'm still tinkering.

    When I try to connect from work I get error 638: The request has timed out. When my friend tries to connect from his home pc he gets error 721: The remote computer did not respond. Thanks for the help.
