    Thanks Paulbent No luck I'm afraid, one thing I have just noticed on machine two on the relevant page there is a scoll bar on the right of the memo field. this scroll bar cannot be seen on the same page (same record) when looking at no. 1 machine.     I'm having trouble with the second of two machines networked using Approach no.2 machine refuses to accept text input as normal ie. enter key for next line will not work all text input is on the same line until I tab out off the memo field, this has just happened recently no.1 machine ok no.2...
