Sorry, stupid question!!! I have some issue, I think with the view settings, that means that blank lines aren't displayed. For example I add a line between task groups and at some stage it disappears and leaves me without the blank line and the row numbers are no longer sequential e.g. row; 1...- SwissBlood

I've been playing with this and, you're right its not pretty, but i've been able to get it to do exactly what I want so I can live with the pain of seeting up the custom calendar. Thank you for your help. really useful- SwissBlood
