    Thanks Paul for your reply. I am running windows 98 which I forgot to mention, which does not come with windows messaging therefore I cannot remove it. Any other suggestions?

    I have recently installed Outlook 97 on my PC. It has not removed the old inbox icon. Is there a way to remove it through registry settings, etc.???
