I tried ajusting the pot as suggested. By turning down the volume this did help as it reduced the level of the noise and it sounds OK now. I don't think it was a dirty pot as it did'nt react the way a "dirty" pot usually does.

OK, it works!!! had to fiddle with it a bid. Thank you belevedere and DrPbx. One more question..... when I call the assigned DID number it rings twice before it returns the dial tone. Is there a way to shorten this.

Thank you for the quick response, yes we do have DID service but on a limited basis. We also have an incoming PRI. But I was originally thinking more along the lines of one or two TK's as our incoming call volume would not be that great. We do have an AD-120 Voice mail and we can call into that...
Hi, We have a NEC IPS (R12.2) I have been asked to create a way for employees to call into the system and access any ext directly, day or nite (bypass the receptionist) I know the system has DID and DISA, not sure which would work best and a little unclear on the programming. Any thoughts?

Hi, just saw these responses...thanx. I ended up working with NEC direct on this. They claimed it was a known flaw in the "blind Xfer" over CCIS ( I did forget to mention that we have two sites routing over CCIS ) The AD-120 is set to release the call to the switch and I'm not sure I agree...
