Yes the new user has write rights.
I copied the accpac settings folder from an existing user's O: drive to the new user's O: drive and it works fine now. We were able to change the settings to reflect the new user and her printer.
Thanks for the help!
The problem is when the new user starts accpac, it opens for a minute and then closes. No chance to do press F3 or anything to get set up.
I'll copy over the existing accpac setup files into the new users O:\ and see if that does the trick.
I'll let you know.
Each user has an O: drive mapapped to a network share. It did not occur to me that the so po and uo referred to the users' O: drives. Settings must be stored in O:\accpac? I checked one of the existing users and these are the files in his O:\accpac:
EZEZSTRTLT.LD4
PRNTLT.LD4
EZUSEROP.LD4...
It is opened with a shortcut:
P:\ZPLUS.BAT /v3 /so:\accpac /uo:\accpac /po:\accpac
When running the SET command, there is no PlusUser reference. The EXE is not on the local workstation, it is on the network.
Hello
My accounting department uses ACCPAC 7.0 for DOS for a couple of things. The same two users have been using the system for years with no problem. We now have a third individual who needs access. I copied the shortcut used by the other users onto the new user's desktop but it doesn't work...
Don't forget to allow time for full replicaton between the old DC and the new DC before you pull the plug on the first server. You should also demote the first server back to a member server after replication occurs. Then you can wipe the HDD.
Turns out that because the server was picking up a dynamic DHCP at HQ before I switched it to static config and shipped it to the remote location; the DHCP was regularly "updating" the A record for the server with DNS.
All I had to do was go into the DHCP snap-in and delete the old lease, and...
One thing I forgot to mention:
A sub-domain used to reside at the location where I just deployed the new member server. Recently the only DC for that sub-domain crashed. The sub-domain was not necessary. So, rather than restore the domain, I am just deploying a member server to the location...
Hello
I have a Windows 2003 domain running in 2003 functional mode.
I just deployed a member server to another location on a different subnet. NOTE SAME ACTIVE DIRETORY SITE but different subnet.
The server is a file and print server for that location, and also serves as the DHCP server for...
Thanks again for your reply.
The support contract on the unit is expired - that is the reason I'm posting here instead of calling Sonicwall. I do not want to purchase the support package - it would cost $50 for re-instatement and $115 for a one-year support contract.
Is there a way to contact...
Thanks for your reply. It was my understanding the VPN upgrade allowed for 10 VPN tunnels as well as one Global VPN Client Licence.
Here's where I got my info (See p2, two thirds down in the middle):

It says that "SOHO3 and PRO 100 VPN...
Hello
Just purchased a used SOHO3 on eBay - 10 user with 25 user upgrade and VPN upgrade. Warranty and support have expired. Firmware 6.6.0.6.
The SOHO3 is registered at MySonicwall.com and the upgrades are listed correctly.
It was my understanding that the SOHO3 with the VPN upgrade...
