I am trying to get an answer to this EXACT question as well. I have even edited the registry to allow security tabs in the Exchange System Manager at the top level object and I have added the system admin account with all access, as well as a user named "bexec" which has a mailbox...
If you load up ntbackup and do the quick backup there, it WILL delete those files. I was hesitent to do this because it wasn't a true backup method and I wasn't sure how easy it would be, but it was a piece of cake do use ntbackup and it cleared up those log files. Now circular logging is...
Right now we are really in a situation where we cannot back things up, and in fact have not backed things up for a very long time. That is a bad thing, I know. I am the IT here, although I'm not formally trained, I have 2 years experience. I wish we could do a backup but for various reasons it's...
I have enabled circular logging to alleviate some spacial issues we have on our server. I know I will get crap from you guys from not having a backup system that backs up exchange, but that cannot be helped right now. IWhat I absoultely need to be able to is clean off these .log files and get...
I successfully ran BE9 last night on one of our linux servers running RH7.2. THis was without an agent and it seemed to work just fine. I want to add our other linux box (running an older version of linux, no particular brand), but I can't get BE to athenticate to get into it. No other user has...
Well, it has been months since the installed, maybe almost a year. I think 2 of the three may have been network installs, but I can gaurauntee that the 3rd was not. I have not added a SP for months either. This was completely random. They all started within an hour. All the users had used office...
In the past few hours at the office I have had 3 PCs now needed to have office 2000 pro re-installed on Windows 2000 workstations. They all lose the installation source. When I try and start up an application they say that the instalation source cannot be found and it needs to be re-installed...
I'm not a huge Linux Pro either, so I think that the easiest way for me would be to use the unix agent (is it free) and back it up over the normal network neighborhood. I don't know what the other option is I guess. I just want to be able to create a selection list through Backup Exec the same...
I am using a trial version of Backup Exec 9.0 and trying to configure it to backup some Samba shares. It won't accept a Windows Remote Agent because it doesn't authenticate any of the user/password combos for some reason. Is it even possible to use Backup Exec with Linux?
Is there any way in Illustrator 10 to place a stroke either inside or outside of the object? I want a font to have a thick stroke, but its a fairly think font and anything more than a 3-4 stroke causes the strokes to converge in some areas of the font. In Photoshop I can tell a layer outline to...
Thanks Laurie, you've been great help so far, I will look into this more on my own time and take it from here, you've soent enough time with this newb, I can figure it out now I think.

OK, I consulted another linux friend and got that delted. Problem still exists though. It appears the routing table is correct, but the machine is still not found over the vpn.
The other box that is working correctly is an older version of linux, kernel 2.14 or something (sorry I can't be more...
I have run into the problem where every time I restart my server running SBS 2000, internet and exchange or not working. Event viewer is showing DNS registration problems, but everything is configured right. We hired outside help to set up everything right a month ago and it has been fine, just...
all right, I just ran the route add -net 192.168....etc...etc on our other linux server (and I did it right the first time) and WALA! It worked! So now...if I can just get rid of that one stale route. I have tried all sorts of combos and i feel so dumb because I cannot remember the syntax I used...
Update:
I was able to add route:
route add -net 192.168.2.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.1.1
The routing table now shows a route with target 192.168.2.0 and a gateway of 192.168.1.1 as it should, and also another entry with 192.168.2.0 with a gw of 0.0.0.0 which I can't erase.
I...
It won't seem to allow me to add with that line. I am thinking it is because there is currently a route in the routing table from my last attempt that is labled 192.168.2.0 with a gateway of 0.0.0.0. I can't seem to erase it using "route del 192.168.2.0". Is there a way to edit that...
I modified the static-routes file and added the line:
eth0 net 192.168.2.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.1.1
When I ran route -n to check the tables I didn't see anything new added. I also looked through man route and didn't really see the command I needed in the examples. The one you...
Thanks for the tips. I have run ad-aware once, but I think I will re-run and sweep for programs too. I have the google bar but haven't had any problems personally.
