I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but i was recently asked if my pbx (definty g3)supports "transparent ASCII protocol" i am not familiar with this term! can anyone tell me what this is and where i can find out more about it?
what do i need to do to get the h-adapter and the mss up i am totally lost on that one..and oh yeah its real mission critical im picking out my casket already...
I cleared most major alrms except for one that says lic error and minors on r-media,h-adapter and disk also showing out of service.still unable to backup showing mss currently in use.
the person who backups our pbx (definity g3r)reported that the last time they tried to they got the message - mss currently in use.. F.Y.I. we have a duplicated spe i did a status spe and it shows mode- standby,r-media-out of service,disk-out of service on SPE-A.does this simply means our disk...
the new trunk group was missing from the ext codes that were giving me problems i went ahead and added the new trunk group,in my case all the cpn prefix states 954344xxxx with the last 4 spaces blank in comparison to yours hope it works ..... thanks zen216 & jzon
i contacted them and they said that the numbers arent sending caller id,but the caller id was fine before the switch. if that is case how would i go about checking and then changing the public numbering
recently we changed all our outgoing calls from our lec to a voip provider but with that change we are now losing caller id on certain exts not all, so the party receiving the call are now seeing our voip provider info.i think it has something to do with our pbx sending caller id although...
