Goldmine 6.70.70226 and change to 2011

Also receiving this message, but with 30 licenses, not really wanting to do an upgrade either! Christine

    Embedding flash presentation in webpage

First, I am a network admin, not a web developer. But, sometimes that "other" in your job description stretches quite far. ;) I have a flash presentation that a design company created for us. It is on my website and works well. However, my boss wants me to apply our standard website...

    Monitoring "Short-Timers"

Yes, aarenot, it was the third option. The employees were allowed to job seek during those two weeks, and severance was granted regardless of whether they had found a new job or not. Unemployment was not contested. It is a fair company fallen on hard times. Fortunately for me, no one tried...

    Monitoring "Short-Timers"

The company isn't being cynical, Kjonnnn. In fact, they resisted my efforts to monitor. They walked one of the people to the door yesterday because he did do something bad. Everyone else is done today. Christine

    Monitoring "Short-Timers"

This isn't an evil nasty empire, it is a small company, struggling to keep afloat. They have to do something. I hope shoalcreek isn't secretly one of my coworkers! Bottom line, I am doing aggressive monitoring and backing up and told my boss I will do the best I can to prevent or recover from...

    Monitoring "Short-Timers"

I was just given a heads-up about a small layoff that will occur in my company. The 5 or 6 affected employees will be allowed to stay for two weeks in addition to getting severance. I am asked to monitor heavily for any malicious activity. I have no idea what I am supposed to be looking for -...

    Cisco 2620 Router Config

OK I figured out the SNMP community change. That's done. [bigsmile] Christine

    Cisco 2620 Router Config

Ser0/1 - Got it. Write memory - Got it. Yes, Ethernet 1/0 is actually open Yes - I was using MRTG but I could change the community and change it in the MRTG settings as well. How do I change that? Christine

    Cisco 2620 Router Config

Oh, also, when I make changes, I know they only effect the running-config, right? How do I make the changes permanent? Christine

    Cisco 2620 Router Config

First, the frame relay is gone - we sold the company. This was the interface Serial 0/1 and the network 192.168.254.0. How can I get rid of that? Second, in the access-list, I have no idea who or what 209.131.213.101 is, so shouldn't I get rid of that? Third, I have a DSL connection with a...

    Cisco 2620 Router Config

...someone to help me understand the configuration I currently have and to advise me on how to change it to add some functionality, namely incorporating my second ISP for load-balancing/fault-tolerance. I am even willing to *pay* someone to help me with this. [cheers] Thanks in advance...

    VTools.ini

Still happening. [banghead] [cry] [curse] I see someone with the same issue here: thread96-1004101 Christine

    VTools.ini

I have deleted his shortcut and recreated it myself. But he logs into terminal services and it somehow changes back to C:\.... The only way to resolve it seems to be to delete his profile altogether and have it recreated from the Default User profile. Christine

    VTools.ini

Yes, that is correct. Everyone connects to this server via RDP to run Macola, which is installed on this server. The database resides on a separate server. Oddly, this now just keeps happening to the same one user. He is working away fine, and then the next time he logs in his shortcut has...

    VTools.ini

Macola is installed on the TS (to get rid of the load errors). Not changing from mapped drive to unc path - changing from M:\macsql\data_10\file.ddf to c:\Macapps\macsql\data_10\file.ddf. Christine

    VTools.ini

Where does this file get it's info from?? It correctly listed Macola data as M:\macsql\data_10\file.ddf and now all of the sudden it is changing for my users to c:\macapps\macsql\data_10\file.ddf. Of course, this makes things not work. I have changed the line in the vtools.ini file to the...

    Macola - Reset Printer

...to know I am not alone. So far, my main PITA user is working okay with her printer set up as a "network" printer. However, this is not a practical option for my *really* remote users who connect over a VPN since their printers are not often connected. (They don't use Macola very much.)...

    Macola - Reset Printer

We have both network printers (using Jet Direct cards) and local printers connected to PCs. I will try sharing the printer and adding it to the terminal server as a network printer and see what happens. Thanks! Christine

    Macola - Reset Printer

Are you suggesting that I share out the local printers and add them as network printers on the terminal server? I thought I went with local printers for these few users since using networked printers prevented them from saving settings, like landscape versus portrait. Maybe I am wrong about...
