    Fedora/Xen

Hoping someone is a bit more proficient w/ Linux/Xen than I am and can help me out w/ this. I'm new to both Linux and Xen so this has been a challenge from the get go. I installed Fedora no problem but Xen is testing me a bit. During the installation procedure the installer couldn't find a...

    DHCP server reset

Yea, I didnt set that timer to be so low. I was surprised to see it set the way it was. Like I said, I didn't set that timer that low but I bet I know who did. Certain individuals get 'bright' ideas that don't always turn out to be so bright....

    DHCP server reset

I've learned the hardway that reseting the DHCP server here disconnects everyone from the network. I'm wondering if this is because the lease timer is set to 1min. I changed the timer to 1 hour, hopefully this will help. I want to reboot the server but I'm reluctant until I get some feed back...

    Offline Files

Always backup your registry before making edits. You may now call me Capt. Obvious if you want. As far as recreation is concerned, I cannot recreate both. One of the servers doesn't exist anymore. However, if I recreated the other link & synched how would I go about deleting it? Thanks.

    Offline Files

Here is a screenshot of what I've been trying to explain: http://img61.imageshack.us/my.php?image=offline25mc.png I removed the paths to protect the innocent. ;) The bottom path, outside of the red circle, is the one we are using and want to keep. The 2 paths inside the red circle are the...

    Offline Files

I guess the best way to show you what I'm dealing with would be a screen shot. Can I post one somewhere on this site?

    Offline Files

I've tried your suggestions. The old setting is still available but the operating system hasn't tried to sync with the old setting yet. *crossing fingers*

    Offline Files

I've got an issue with Offline Files. An old server that doesn't exist anymore is hanging around in the settings and still thinks it needs to be synched. How do I get rid of this old setting? I've tried disabling offline files, rebooting and turning the feature back on but it doesn't erase...

    recovery console

OK what is the deal? Dammit Microsoft!! I'm in need of the recovery console but can't install it. I've got Minasi's book here in front of me which instructs me to use the Win 2k CD (must be misprint?) to install the tools. Upon doing so, the operating system tells me that, '..the version of...

    event 4015

Both of my domain controllers are suffering from the source of event ID 4015. I've successfully entered the 'DNScmd' but the error persists. DCdiag.exe /v runs successfully but the servers don't pass all the tests. Netdiag.exe /v will not run at all. I've seen other posts in other areas that...

    DNS Problem

I'm having this problem as well. So restart is REQUIRED after reinstallation of DNS services? I need to fix these problems in a production environment so if the restart is necessary I need to wait until off hours. I have 2 DC's. Is this reinstallation required on every DC that is having the...

    DNS 4000 & 4011

I'm getting tons of these errors in my log now. DNS seems to quit working and then print services become unavailable. My question is how does one determine if AD is working correctly, and if not, how is the zone reloaded? Event Type: Error Event Source: DNS Event Category: None...

    Event ID's 13508, 13509 & 13562

I'm having FRS & DNS problems after replacing a network card in a Win2000 BDC. Printing services drop and DNS quits working on the BDC intermittently. I know it's not called BDC anymore but you probably know what I mean. Reseting the server seems to band-aid the issue but then a few hours...

Event ID 33 Source: Print / DNS

I had to make room in a server the other day for a SCSI card. The card I removed was the network card. Here is the error from Event Viewer: The PrintQueue Container could not be found because the DNS Domain name could not be retrieved. Error: e This issue didn't pop up right after the card...

    SSH and Microsoft's IAS (RADIUS)

Yes, AD and IAS is integrated. I came across the integration issue earlier and it wasn't turned on, so I was like YES! Then, unfortunately, I kept getting the same message. I'm sure it's something simple, I just have next to no experience working w/ this IAS....
