I'm in the manufacturing sector, so I can't help you with that particular document, but many times you can google the document number and find specs from different companies. Download them and then start looking at the differences. You'll noticed the requirements in the specs too. This is a...
Are you currently in role doing EDI or are you just trying to learn EDI to get a job doing it?
Most of us who do EDI were thrown into it and learned on the job.. There are so many variables with each document, segment, element and trading partner.
...JEWELRY AND STONES' in your first N1 segment.
When you see multiple asterisks like in this N4 segment, that means those elements are blank.
N4*ANTWERP***BE
N401 = ANTWERP
N402 = BLANK
N403 = BLANK
N404 = BE
ST segment is the start of the document and tells you what kind of document it...
I'm assuming you're able to write code on the iseries... You should be able to write a pgm that will read the PO data in Trusted Link and embed into the email.
OR, you could create the report of the PO, send it to a specific outq and then in your program, go to that outq and attach it to...
Well, I posted this on several forums and got no help, so I opened a ticket with MS Tech Support ($265) and they fixed it.
Somehow, the site got locked into "read only" status. Went into Central Admin --> Site Collection Quotas and Locks and changed it to "Not Locked" and now everything works...
Hey all,
got a problem here.. None of the permissions that have been set up seem to be working today.
For example, I'll go to a site that I have full control over and I don't have access to do anything. I go into Permission Tools and then "check permissions" and then type in my name, and it...
Hi all,
Here's a weird problem... I upgraded our WSS 2 environment to WSS 3 over the weekend. We are using it pretty much out of the box with no custom webparts, etc.
Now the autosize does not work, so if you make your browser smaller, the portal will not auto adjust it's size so you can...
After some more playing with this, it definitely appears like the system is ignoring permissions set up in the shared documents folder of each site.
I have changed nothing in Central Admin..... Not even sure there is a setting in there for this...
Any clues?
OK, this is really weird.
We're running WSS 2 and have been for several years, always using AD to authenticate and SQL Server as the backend. One of my users called me yesterday and said she was getting an error when trying to upload a MS Word document into a shared folder on her departmental...
You can also use FrontPage 2003 to restore and backup your WSS website. I've done this before and it works really nice.
You can find out exact instructions on how to do this on SharepointD2D.com or do a search on "Use Front Page 2003 to Restore and Backup a WSS Web site"
I'm installing WSS on another server, using SQL Server 2000 as a back end. Install went smoothly. Extended the site, etc. I can access the site, but when I go to add something to the Announcements and it shows me the New Announcement screen, but the fields are not there to enter information...
Hey Thomas,
I looked at the white papers and quite frankly they're WAY beyond my skillset... My head was spinning with all the terminology that I don't understand! :-)
I have no experience with ISA. Does this have to be on a seperate server?
We're a food distributor and I'd like to put a...
We're setting up an extranet using WSS for our vendors to log in and access reports, etc.
Using standalone security (not AD), I'd like to find a way so when the user goes to the site, they login and immediately get re-directed to their custom vendor specific site.
for example:
user BSMITH...
Hey all,
I'm a longtime AS400 Programmer/Analyst and want to write an webfacing application that can be accessed by my vendors on the outside world via the internet.
I've done some research and have loaded on WDSC and gone thru the tutorial and would like to know where I can learn more about...
We're running WSS only.
I did all of this migrating while I was logged onto the server as administrator. The cross site groups were not created by the administrator, but as tdacquisto which is my normal network ID. Just out of curiosity, I logged off and logged in as me and voila! - all the...
Hey Thomas,
I purchased the book "Windows Sharepoint Services Inside Out" which has TONS of info in it regarding restoring, migrating, etc....
So I figured out how to migrate my entire portal to a new machine and all the permissions remained the same except for the cross site groups are still...
