I have 8.0(63) loaded and in the last two months I've only had two messages that got cut off - likely it was on the customer's end, as both were cell phones calling in. This equates to about a 99% reduction in cut-offs.
Interesting. I was on 8.1(52) having the issue and just upgraded last night to 8.1(56), hoping that might help. From this, it sounds like (if it is a software issue) it still exists up through 8.1(52) at least.
No offense taken, but my post wasn't meant to be a digital sympathy card :-) I find sometimes knowing you are not the only one having the issue helps you determine whether it's software, hardware, global or unique to you.
I have the exact same issue. Very inconsistent. Sometimes cuts them off after 30 to 45 seconds of talking, other times the system tells them "I'm sorry, I can't record your message right now" (or close to that).
