New to JS and I Need Help

I did not see the "No Student Posting". I am not taking lessons in JavaScript, I am trying to teach myself and this is one of the lessons I am trying to accomplish. I am sorry if asking this question causes you problems.

New to JS and I Need Help

My web page is at http://www.analog24.net/~cscott/Lab3-Trig/index.html I am just learning to program in JS and one of my lessons involves this page. Rather than getting into the entire lesson (as I don't want all the answers just given to me), I am having trouble with the following: I have a...

HP Deskjet F4240 All in One Printer

I have a HP Deskjet F4240 All in One printer and it keeps flashing the resume light orange. Also the Black/Color display keeps showing "E". What is wrong? I checked my ink levels and they are full. In fact, the display at the top of the panel shows both color and black levels at full. Ideas?

WORKGROUP is not accessible. You might not have permission

the first thing I tried was turning off the firewall on all machines. Still no fun. Also, when I searched for a computer in Windows XP, it found each and every computer I searched for. I was then able to access them. I added a shortcut to each computer to my desktop and have no issues getting...

WORKGROUP is not accessible. You might not have permission

I have 3 computers, all running Windows XP Professional. 2 of them are desktops and 1 is a laptop. I am having trouble setting up a file and printer sharing network on them. I do not need alot of security, just sharing. They all are using the workgroup of "WORKGROUP". They all have a static IP...

Leopard: Where is iPhone & iLife?

But I was just to understand that iPhoto from 10.3.9 was not compatible with 10.5.2. Am I wrong?

Leopard: Where is iPhone & iLife?

I gave Apple Support a call and they confirmed what you said. It seems that the error message I got was due to me running iPhoto from my 10.3.9 OS and that is flat-out not compatible. The tech there did not know about that particular error message. iLife and iPhoto are NOT part of the 10.5.2...

Leopard: Where is iPhone & iLife?

I have the minimum system requirements for iPhoto that are shown at http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs/. So what does the error mean?

Leopard: Where is iPhone & iLife?

Let me re-state this as I was partially wrong. I do not see iLife, but I do see iPhoto. When I run iPhoto, I get the following error message: ------------ You can't open the application "iPhoto.app" because it is not supported in this architecture. ------------ I know that most likely means...

Leopard: Where is iPhone & iLife?

I just bought Leopard and upgraded my OS X10.3.9 to the latest and greatest. I was under the understanding that iPhoto and iLife came with Leopard. Am I wrong? I do not see it on my dock and I do not see it in the Applications folder either. I see iCal, iChat, iDVD, iMovie, iSync and iWork...

    Slashes in Folder/Filenames

For the most part, I agree with you. I use a pc at home, but at work, I use both a pc and a mac. It is a good idea to not use slashes in filenames or folder names. However, I NEVER publish anything with a slash in the name, so I do not have that drawback. I think I will just slowly start...

    Slashes in Folder/Filenames

Well, I can see the issue on a pc. I have been using them on my mac for years and have never had a problem. However, you may be right.

    Slashes in Folder/Filenames

I re-formatted the drive in "Extended (Journaled)" mode and it is working perfectly now.

    Slashes in Folder/Filenames

I prefer to use slashes when possible. I will check out the apple script thing you suggested as I was not aware of it. Thank you.

    Slashes in Folder/Filenames

I think this is an operating system question. I am using OS X 10.3.9. I am going to upgrade as soon as I get a good backup. I have slashes in my file and folder names and it is working fine. However, when I connect my Western Digital MyBook external hard drive, it will not accept the slashes...

Windows Printing to a Epson Printer on an eMac.

Just a note. All my Macs on the network can see each other and share files and printers. The Macs can see the PCs and share files and printers. However, the PCs can see the Macs, but not share files or printers. Ideas?

Windows Printing to a Epson Printer on an eMac.

I have a Windows XP computer that I am trying to get to print to an Epson printer that is connected over the network on an eMac computer. My other Mac computers can print to the eMac printer just fine, but when I try to add the printer to a Windows XP computers, it scans the network for the...
