Apologies for delay
I have now swapped the 2626 for a 2524 but still getting errors on the port connected to the laser bridge.
errors are -
W 08/14/08 10:40:03 FFI: port 3-Excessive CRC/alignment errors. See help.
W 08/14/08 10:40:14 FFI: port 3-Excessive jabbering. See Help
W 08/14/08 10:40:45...
The link between the switches is a laser bridge, not fibre. The laser bridge engineer thinks the 2524 is only allowing through packets of up to 1000mtu and dropping packets with a higher mtu.
I have an HP2524 connected to an HP2626 over a laser link. Users on the 2524 are complaining of slowness. No errors on the 2524 but quite a few on the 2626. Both ports are connected at 100FDX. Should these switches be compatible.
I have 2 6509's each with 2 - SUP1+mfsc in single router mode. The primary sup card in the 2nd switch locked up and froze both switches completely. Had to remove the Sup card completely to get the switches back. Sho Tech pointed to lots of pinnacle errors. has anyone seen this before
