One calling station has lost Caller ID - 2000 IPS

Actually, the user is no longer receiving caller ID information. I'm sorry I gave you the incorrect information; I only had the entry level admin class at NEC, which is basically a glorified Adds, Moves, and Changes class. If you need additional information about settings, please let me know...

One calling station has lost Caller ID - 2000 IPS

Good Afternoon! I have one user that has lost the caller ID functionality on his phone. At this time, we have caller ID setup on our 2000 IPS unit. Is there anything that he could have fat fingered to turn it off? From looking at other posts, here is the info that I have: 1202>ext#>1515...

Ports needed for IP Phones in firewall

Ok, here's the latest. After much thought and consideration, we have decided to go with the SP30 softphones for our remote folks to use VoIP. This has the benefit of using the PC's VPN connection, which is not a problem. The only wrinkle at this time, is that I have not been able to get the...

I just checked the users position data again, and everything seems fine. I really can't use any other set of numbers. Does anyone else have any suggestions on how to continue troubleshooting this? Please let me know. Thanks in advance! sax

Dterm station has R.I.P. in the display

Neither the station or position data were ever deleted. They were changed, but never deleted. I have seen this error before, but I seem to have misplaced the document I used to fix it. Thanks for your quick answer kid2400. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Thanks sax

Dterm station has R.I.P. in the display

Good Afternoon all, I have a dterm E series that is connected to an NEAX 2000 IPS and has RIP in the display. When I press the softkey to logon to our ACD software, it goes away and shows the normal display. Also, I should note that the rep for this phone cannot log into the phone queue...

Ports needed for IP Phones in firewall

Sorry not to get back to you guys until now. I've had to rebuild a SQL Cluster/SAN and make sure that works. Now I can start devoting time to this again. At this time, we can't ping from remote sites as the Cisco guy that setup our firewall has turned off ping for the PBX as a security...

Ports needed for IP Phones in firewall

Ok, this is interesting.... When I connect MatWorx to the PBX, is says the following: SC-3117 F1-0004.03 I can only assume this is Revision 6, build 4.03. I also had one of the remote clients try to connect and he never gets connected to the DRS. He can use the router that he has been using...

Ports needed for IP Phones in firewall

Hey Guys! I really appreciate all the help! I just looked inside our PIMs and found that we have a 32IPLA. I will need to discuss that with the vendor. Also, I'm pretty sure that we don't have version 12.1 on our IPS. (How do you tell what version of software you are using?) I can tell...

Ports needed for IP Phones in firewall

Thanks ctvi! I appreciate the quick reply, but I have a couple of questions. First, do you mean that I have to give my IPS a public IP address, bypassing our firewall? Instead of entering an internal IP address in 0B>00, that I enter a public IP address? Also, you said "You have and...

Ports needed for IP Phones in firewall

Thanks smoom! I really appreciate the info. I hope you had a good 4th! Now that we have these ports setup, I am trying to connect a remote phone via IP and at this time, haven't managed to get it connected. We have the internal IP address mapped to an external IP in the firewall, with the...

    Printer Share Problem?

This is by design in the post-Windows 2000 world. If you setup a network printer on your system and are using XP/2003 on both sides, a driver will be automatically downloaded from the server to the client without user intervention. I hope this helps!

Ports needed for IP Phones in firewall

Good Afternoon all, We recently changed ISPs and are currently reconfiguring our firewall. We would like to get our IP DTerms up and running again on our NEAX 2000 IPS, but I haven't been able to find the port/protocol information that will allow our IP phones to communicate with the 2000 IPS...

    2000 IPS station automatically answers

Hello all! I have one station that automatically answers when called. It doesn't give the person at that desk that anyone has called. Could this be whisper mode?!?!?! In any case, how do you put her phone back to a normal ring and not an auto answer? Thanks in advance to all those that...

How can I cancel auto hands free answering?

So when you say "and go to phone and try," exactly what should I be entering? Speaker > A7? Just A7? Feature > A7? Sorry, I don't mean to be obtuse, but I tried Speaker > A7, and the symptom persists. Thanks for your help, NECPBX! sax

How can I cancel auto hands free answering?

Oh! I also forgot to mention that this ONLY happens with internal calls. Calls from outside ring the phone as normal. Thanks again! sax
