Thanks for all the replies on this post.
Was there a FIX?
Sadly, no.
It works as well as it ever will, until we get the funds to put in a newer system.
Which may be awhile, we are financially stressed like everyone else.

The volume is outbound from KSU to the outside world either calling out or called in.
All of the 6 button sets have a low volume, although one 10 button set has a very nice sounding level. I took out another 10 button set and tried replacing one of the 6 buttons that did NOT make a difference...
Nortel will fade into history, like the rest - ROLM anyone?
Technology is a change or die field, if you are retiring in 5 years or less, then Nortel techs will have work.
If you want a career in this field, look elsewhere - Cisco, NEC, Avaya, MITEL are good bets.
You want to invest your...
Long suffering 1A2 key system repair tech again, with another tale of woe trying to support all of the Los Angeles City sites (50% of 500 buildings!) with this old stuff.
Common complaint from the phone users is low volume being heard from callers, no matter if they are called or called in to...
Here is what I found out.
Did the 2.5 MOhm resistor, it shortened the disconnect to two almost three rings, a lot better than the 4 to 5 rings from an unmodified card.
Went to a 1.6 MOhm resistor, and it tightened up to 1 to 1.5 rings.
Unless anyone wants to warn me away from the 1.6...
for this problem, I was using Cortelco 183499-148 K400E's 9-94.
Does that help?
Thanks

We are fortunate to have the chance to support old ITT 1A2/10A2 KSU based phone systems.
Wanted to know how to make the line disconnect faster after CO trunks stop sending ringing voltage to the KTU cards.
Had a problem where the line would ring for 10 times after CO trunk stopped sending...
If I did a HUNT/FDN based on hours, wouldnt that transfer the call to the analog line and stop ringing on the DN MARP?
The user would not be able to pick if its forwarded, right?
The printshop was coverted from a 1A2 (don't laugh!), and they were happy with a manual switch over to a "night bell" by the "*8" keystroke.
So a manual ring of a seperate analog circuit to the buzzer relay when the main DN MARP is ringing is what we need.
Any way to accomplish this through...
We just put our print shop on a Meridian and want to ring a loud buzzer with the MARP DN, but only after hours.
It looks like we will need an analog circuit to signal/trip a "normally open" contact closure to a "Closed contact" from a Bogen TAM-B or similar contact relay.
Wanted to know who...
