Update on this issue.
I connected the call server and the phone to a HP 1700 switch (the phone was powered by an PoE injector), and connected the switch to the client's network, in order to keep the other phones in operation.
This isolates the call server and the phone from an eventual problem...

Good point, but I'll have to put a small switch in between the PBX and the client's or else I'll stop all the other phones.
I'll test that, but it will take some days to implement and test.
Thank's for the tip.
I'll update this post as soon as possible.

So, update on this problem.
The problem occurs on both modules AND on the phone.
So it should be a problem with the info from the PBX to the phone.
I'm inclined to think it's a problem with the client's network, but sniffing the ethernet on both the PBX and the phone to look for discrepancies...

Thank's, that sounds like a good point and a good way to proceed.
I don't know if the receptionist has problems on one or the two modules, but I'll check.
I'll update with more info as soon as possible.

Yes, It was the first thing I checked. Besides, the buttons lights up after she tries to transfer (or so I understand), so if it lights up it's checking the user state, right? It wouldn't light up in case of dial+extn.
malibu1979, as I understand, you have a remote IP phone behind a router with the public IP, and you are forwarding ports in your router from the public IP do the internal IP of the phone, is that correct ?
A VoIP call uses 2 IP connections, 1 for control of the call (signaling) and 1 for...
Hello everyone
I have a customer with an IP500v2 R8.1 and 9611G IP Phones. The receptionist has 2 BM12 modules with the users configured on the almost every button.
The problem the receptionist is reporting is that every occasionally she tries to transfer a call to a user that should be free...
Hi everyone
Some insight for my problem first:
A client has an IP500 R6.1, previously connected to a PRI trunk. Everything was working great, but he decided to change to SIP, due to excessive line failures and downtime on the PRI trunk.
The provider instaled a fiber ethernet access with Cisco...
Hello boys and girls.
Sorry for such a late feedback on this subject... honestly I forgot... :(
Thank's to everyone for the great advice, but unfortunately I was unable to used them. 2 simultaneous calls was not an option in this case, so I just forced a prefix on the trunk and adjusted the...
TT:
Let me see if I got the picture...
I do have 2 BRI cards unused for the job, so:
- I configure one or both to S-bus and configure them for outgoing trunk 99
- I create a line shortcode using 's' to change the CLI for the call
- I define the TG 99 as the TG for that short code
That does a...
amriddle01 : didn't work...
But...
I'm going to do some more tests with that tomorrow.. it's been a long day and I could be missing something..
Anyway, thanks for the help.

Hi
Check the overflow time, see if another timer, like no answer time on the dummy extn, isn't interfering.
Also check the type of ringing on the group. Don't know why, but collective wont work with dummy extn.
Hope it helps.

Hi everyone.
First a litle insight on the problem:
A customer has a group of mobile phones that can call each other using a reduced number (GSM group). When they call numbers outside the group, the 9 digit number is the CLI, when they call within the group, a 4 digit CLI is used, is this case...
Hi all
I'm installing a new IP Office system with a AVPP to control the WiFi phones.
The phones register on the PBX, I can see them on system status, but the phones won't make nor receive any calls.
I've traced the traffic on the switch and I can see the packets going from the phone to the...
