    SPS addition to CX600

Thanks... I appreciate the reply. Turns out I did have the proper cables and batteries. It was just a matter of cabling them properly! Once someone outlined which outlets were for which SP and DAE and which signalling cable to whoch SP it was fairly straightforward.

always go out of the screen edge

Sounds like your resolution is set beyond what your monitor is capable of displaying. Try dropping it to 800x600 and see if that works ok.

    Fiber Channel HBA suggestions

What SAN are you using? Believe it or not, not all Fibre Channel interacts with each other properly. Your SAN provider should have a hardware compatibility list that will help you choose the proper brand.

    backup solution - basic

How many tapes do you have? If you have enough tapes to do a decent rotation, I would just run a full backup every day. Even if you don't have a tape for every day, your backups are only 1/8 capacity on the tape (assuming 2:1 compression). Incremental backups can be a lifesaver and a...

Handle email accounts on server 2003

Especially if you need archiving for legal reasons, the last thing you want to do is have your users doing it. Your ISP may be able to archive it for you, but as others stated, Exchange will probably be your best choice. You can look at bringing it in-house, or look at Hosted Exchange. From a...

    SPS addition to CX600

With a valid support contract, that would be an option. But I know that's not the only source of information, hence this forum! I didn't really figure a cabling and part number question would be a big deal though.

Cisco 2621mx with WIC-1DSU-T1 card config issue

Is the circuit up? Even if the tunnel isn't up, the physical connection should at least be indicated on the WIC. Around here, the phone company gets the initial circuit right about 50% of the time! If the phyisical side is up, it's in all likelihood a mismatched configuration. Like...

    SPS addition to CX600

Any help at all? I've read through all of the previous posts, and I know there's a lot of EMC talent around here. I'm usually very self-sufficient when it comes to technical questions, but EMC is a much harder topic to research.

Unable to open the item mrf_chkfile_-10319 skipped.

Why not just skip it? Looks like it's just an Antivirus checkfile. Is there a specific reason you want to back that file up? If you have to back it up, you could use the open file agent, or stop the Trend services prior to backup and starting them after backup. You could script that with the...

Always backs up at 4928KB on any sized file your trying to backup

Do you have compression enabled? Have you tried restoring to a different location and comparing the backed up file and the restored file?

How do I identify the right firmware code for Brocade FOS?

just point to release.plist in the root of the upgrade folder. It will determine the correct version for you.

    SPS addition to CX600

I have a CX600 that I am trying to add an SPS setup to. I have a pair of 1000W EMC SPS's that I am trying to add in. I don't have the actual part number with me, but it is the half-width 1000W with one input and two output and the RJ12 signalling port. I am trying to use an EMC 118-28717...
