Where does frontpage keep the javascript for the validation and how can I locate and edit it. It isn't there when I view the source. Instead it just says
onsubmit="FrontPage_Form1_Validator(this)"

I worked it out. I just viewed the source from a browser. Done this way, the validation shows up and can be altered. In frontpage, the validation script is hidden or something.
On a related note, a good way to learn validation is to look at how frontpage writes script to validate certain...
Okay, I'm trying to make this work with my pre-made Frontpage form. If I can't, I'm going to just re-write the entire validation script. Frontpage forms are kind of limited in their scope. There is not a double entry validation.
When I figure it out, I'll post back here.

Frames are used to accomplish this. To see an example:
Open frontpage (i have fp2000)
go to new ->page
under 'new from templates' choose 'page templates'.
choose the tab that says 'frames pages'
the rest is easy.
