Thanks for the replies everyone. I use AVG and so far haven't had any problems. I don't have the firewall component, either. I also use Malwarebytes on my machine.

DrZogg, You mentioned that you "definitely" don't use AVG. Is there something wrong with AVG for home use ? thanks
