Can someone adivse where to look to confirm/configure communication settings between the handset & controller, i.e., 10/100, half/full duplex.
Thank you!
Random calls are dropping off, the user indicates their display show "Timeout", and the calls drop after 30sec up to 2 minutes. I've replaced the PRI and reloaded the IMAT DB. ISDN protocols / variants are checked ok. Has anyone see this before? What is the "Timeout" message referring to...
Absoutly re: hangups. We've also installed the Tone Commander 9140 across the PRI route which both delivers a pop-up message to 10 workstations across the LAN, but gives us better management of ANI transforms to the Intrado database. Some communities (police/sheriff) are cool about false calls...
It's understood that 99.9% are accidental (that's what the Morton Thiokol engineers said the O-rings reliability factor was designed for, too). We've checked with our legal folks: if a caller dials 911 (or 9911) with a *valid* emergency, then passes out (or is shot) before answering the...
Good point, but changing access code is out due to large number of users, corporate policy, etc. A delay of 2 seconds will should not be detected by users if ring-back can be immediate, too.
To minimize (or even eliminate) the number of "hang-ups" when users inadvertently dial 911, can a delay be inserted in the route table that pauses 2 or 3 seconds before placing the call on the public network? The thinking is that this delay will give "accidental" 911 dialers the opportunity to...
Generally speaking, how much time is involved for the following tasks on a non-redundant SX-2000:
1) Update the operating system
2) Activate feature dimension
I'm trying to determine the amount of down-time the users should expect.
Thanks!
Yes, power off. I'm aware of the night service activation mode, the concern is of the application/operating system - if it has an orderly shutdown requirement - or not.
Thanks,
BWT via PRI, inbound are DID or DNIS (4-digit). Bulk of DN range is 7xxx, but there are also 9xxx (POTS <fax lines> that were ported). AS of now the Trunk Service incoming digit mod strips 1st digit and inserts a '7'; the 7xxx route to matching 7xxx DNs on stations, the 9xxx route to other 7xxx...
We've double checked all the TS labels; time to triple check, might be something simple like extra space somewhere... Running 34.2.0.20, and I'm sure it was fine prior to all the ARS rework. Thanks for the input!
