Cheers Peter - just going to upload the relevent files for the 1608's to upgrade as the 1616's are working just fine and have BBM's attached.
Whilst uploading the files in to a different folder (to make live easier tonight) I did notice the 46xxsettings.txt file is missing from the PRIMARY...
Hi Peter,
Thanks again for the response :).
Here's a newb question (you wouldn't think I've been doing this for 10 years!!), the phones are grabbing their files from the SD Card, am I correct in thinking that I can upload the SP5 firmware files to the SD Card using Embedded File Management and...
Hi All,
Apologies for opening an old case.
The problem has returned - same site, same details as before. All handsets using Power Bricks experience the problem. Also deployed a HP ProCurve to check to see if that had any impact - it doesn't. Deployed a handful of new IP Handsets - they're...
System Status will show you real basic stats. Load Manager, File > Advanced > System Status - login using your Administrator login details. Go to Trunks and select the trunk and click the "Trunk utilisation" tab. This will show you the amount of inbound/outbound/abandoned calls to a particular...
Hi All,
Apologies for the delay - looks as if it was in fact PoE Causing the issue, we've disabled the 2x PoE ports for the handsets that have power bricks and the fault hasn't re-occured. We're going to monitor the issue for another day or so to be completely sure before swapping the PoE...
Hey CptIpo,
I've disabled PoE on the ports which serve the handsets with power bricks so that we can truely isolate PoE from being the cause of the issue, it'll take a day or two to get a definitive result :)
I'm not sure if the on site Engineer turned PoE off on those handsets, so I'll check, thanks for that. What PoE Switches would you reccomend? We've always used NetGear and have never come across issues like this, however both switches are pretty much fully loaded with IP Handsets - both have...
My mistake (its been a LONG!! day :/), the 1616's with BBM's DO have power, however they have never restarted.
The PoE are the NetGear FS Series and the few power bricks used have the green LED
Hi Peter,
They don't. Our suspicions (and Avaya's) matched yours so in our latest visit we replaced some handsets with new ones and added power bricks and unfortunately those replacements suffered from the same issue, which would suggest the issue is not PoE related nor is it related to a...
sorry, not sure how to edit my post but the line with :-
The handsets with bbms seem to be recorded
Needs to be :-
The handsets with bbms seem to be fine and haven't restarted :)
Morning all,

Thanks for the advice guys. Put in a purchase req for the Draytek TA (Draytek Products are generally decent for the price!) + it's USB which will suit us going forward.
Hopefully it's more reliable than the PCI TA that I have, which is driving me bonkers
Hello,
Could anyone reccomend an ISDN Terminal Adapter that works with Windows7? Preferably looking for a USB Adapter as some of our PC's have PCI slots and others PCI-E.
By chance I've managed to get a couple PCI adapters working on Windows7 however they're starting to give up, dropping...
Thanks for the responses. Would be perfect if you could pass that information on - we haven't purchased IPOSS and our supplier reccomends upgrading to 8.1 as 7.0 is now unsupported :/, which to be honest, we'll only do if we absolutely have to, something not quite right about having to purchase...
Morning,
I have a problem with all Nortel Handsets connected to an IPO500v2. We recently upgraded from R7.0.5 to R7.0.36 to resolve an issue with poor quality calls, since then, every night/early morning a couple handsets will ring constantly (without any call present). The only way to stop the...
tlpeter / IPOffice Ireland,
Just to let you know that uninstalling all of the .net components (and any Windows Updates relating to .net), the VJ# redistributable, IIS and "deleting" the SQL Database and then installing using the CCR8.1 Guide fixed the issue (even though I'm using 7.0.6.6)...
