Toshiba Strata CIX, unable to switch extensions to DKT3000 mode

We resolved the issue - the afflicted extensions were on a card jumpered to force DKT2000 mode on all extensions. Removed the jumper, and now things work as they should.

Toshiba Strata CIX, unable to switch extensions to DKT3000 mode

Hi all, We have a Toshiba Strata CIX100 system, and some of the extensions are stuck in DKT2000 mode, evidenced by only the left half of the display of a connected DKT3000 or DP5000 phone being used, and the SpDial button not working. I'm aware of the process to switch an extension to DKT3000...

    DTMF vs. three-tone paging tone

Nope, didn't get a message. I don't use my LinkedIn account so I really have no idea how to use it lol. I found you and sent you an invite, anyhow.

    DTMF vs. three-tone paging tone

My YouTube name is themaritimeman. I didn't post to any of your videos, I sent you a private message, not about paging, but about what I said in my previous post:

    DTMF vs. three-tone paging tone

Thanks curlycord! Apparently messaging on LinkedIn is a premium feature. We've strayed off the original topic of this thread long enough now, so I won't worry about it anymore. Maybe consider a "Contact Us" link on your blog in the future? When I was first hunting for a way to contact you I...

    DTMF vs. three-tone paging tone

Oops, now I'm the one that never responded! I'm set up to receive emails when responses come in but never got any for this thread - sorry. I searched your name on Linkedin but didn't find anything. Basically the message I sent on YouTube was to say that I found your blog and really enjoy it...

    DTMF vs. three-tone paging tone

I guess Joe's not gonna get back to me....

    DTMF vs. three-tone paging tone

Joe! I was hoping I would run across you on here. I discovered your blog and your YouTube channel a few weeks ago, and your content is part of the reason I've developed an interest in Nortel phone systems, and eventually want to get a hold of a small Norstar or BCM50 system to play around with...

    DTMF vs. three-tone paging tone

The tone is coming through the phones themselves though. Is it possible for some external device to modify that? I found a 10+ year old thread here where someone else observed it and said that early software versions used it - I was wondering if anyone else could confirm that it was that, or...

    DTMF vs. three-tone paging tone

I was watching someone's video on YouTube demonstrating paging on a Norstar system, and when they initiated the page, instead of the usual DTMF page tone that Norstar systems make, it was a series of three beeps. They were paging through another phone, not an external page system. I've never...

    BCM400 run with Linux/Open Source?

I actually originally looked at the CICS, as well as the 3x8, but assumed that being older, they required a serial connection to a computer and learning cryptic terminal commands to configure, but just today I did some more research, and I guess all the configuration can be done from a phone...

    BCM50 imaging/licensing for an individual

Noted. Which of the three forms do I use, and do I have to mention your username or will the message go straight to you?

    BCM50 imaging/licensing for an individual

Only because I like the older Norstar phones. It would be neat to set a couple up and see what I can do with them. Maybe actually integrate them as part of my household phone system. I am, admittedly, interested in this more from a hobby standpoint than a professional one. (Although I have doubt...

    BCM400 run with Linux/Open Source?

I'd be interested to see answers to this as well. I'm an individual with little knowledge on telephone systems and no relationship with any company who deals with this stuff, and I'd like to get my hands on a used BCM to play around with in my home, but I'm reserved against buying one knowing...

    BCM50 imaging/licensing for an individual

Hi, I have little knowledge and experience with telephone systems, and I've been entertaining the thought of purchasing a BCM50 and a couple of Norstar phones on eBay, just to tinker and educate myself with. Although used BCM50 units are cheap on eBay, I'm reserved against buying one because I...
