I think what the OP is trying to do is convert Analogue trunks at a different location to Sip trunks and connect them via the internet (or intranet) to the 9100 (the ATA is FXO not FXS). Now I don't think this is possible but I am happy to be proved wrong!

Wow, you guys got shafted! we get VM to Email and 4 Sip trunk licenses as standard on SL2100! Seems like a heck of a lot of trouble and the introduction of more potential points of failure just to save a small license fee. Add to that the fact that the call detail recording, if done on the asterisk, won't have extension details from the 2100, it seems to be a half baked solution. Also...

Have you considered sending the CPU for repair rather than buy a new one? NEC may have another way of recovering it that they don't tell us about.

I've also never had an SL lose it's licenses even when I remove the CPU memory battery to replace it! I would be speaking to TAC re a possible faulty CPU.

@CoralTech Sorry but been there done this and each phone needed different ports and if you had 2 on the same port, at least one wouldn't work! Checked and confirmed with TAC! Edited to add, I know this because after install I had a fault with no speech on one phone. Changed it's ports and hey...

You need to use different ports for each remote phone and keep a spreadsheet of what you use or it will soon get out of hand!
