The problem is you need access to the IP DECT to update it, if you can't access it (if you don't have Win 7/10) how can you update it!?
That is my argument with Avaya.
I have the same issue, open case with Avaya (for a VERY long time)
If you have a PC/laptop with Windows 7/10 use the old IE version, that should work fine.
Has anyone come across any basic call centre system that not Xima/ACR?
We need a system that agents can take note about the calls they receive or make, show up if they call back in again etc.
Report on notes/reason codes.
We know the ACR/Xima can do this, but with the number of issues we had...
Gamma has changed its SBC and added additional unnecessary security when it comes to RTP ports.
We are now having issues with no CLI on some external calls since they have changed SBC!
Luckily we have moved most of our customers away from Gamma.
I don't think VCM32 V1 are compatible with V11.1 they have to be VMC32 V2?
I had a few installed that the VCM V1 needed replacing with VCM V2 for the phone to register to the system.
I can't find any documentation if this is correct or not?
Does anyone know officially?
The problem with that approach 70% of the customers we have, we are also providing IT support.
I know is about education and telling the end users things like "do you really need 50 tabs open in the browser" as this can affect the call. "your wifi may be fine for you shopping or reading the...
Hosted also come with new problems, all customers we have on hosted no matter how good the internet connection is with softphone or mobile app issues with "poor call quality" or "call breaking up" or "one way speech"
We now have to check the laptops, PC etc as when you have lots of applications...
Hosted is more expensive over 3 years +, you never own anything and pay the same amount per user.
Whiles an on-prem system is fixed assets so once the system is paid off (if it lease) only lines and maintenance for running cost.
Generally, we find that the lifecycle for a system is 7+ years...
Its a known issue, we have many customers having the same problem (even on the latest version)
I would report this to Avaya, hopefully, they get this fixed soon.
I believe 11.2, 11.4 SP4. 11.0 SP8 will be released end of Jan 23 (but don't hold your breath on that!)
I have some details on 11.2, these were sent to me by our Avaya account manager.
I don't think IP Office will go EOS, they just made IP Office subscription available to everyone (even in Ringcentral areas) previously in UK IP Subscription was not available unless an SBR is raised or Avaya involvement, now is available to all.
Some interesting new features in 11.2...
Having lots of issues with 11.1.2.3, yes having issues with the One-X Portal, Web Manager, Web Control, Voicemail Pro, ACR, memory leak on IP500V2...many more issues... I have around 25 SR open with Avaya!
Really Avaya needs to bring back beta testing at least they can hopefully stop some of...
