    Yes, it works fine when I call the extension directly, it's only when trying to have both the extension and ringer ringing simultaneously there is a problem. --Richard Burns-Allan

    It is a ringer, a standard analogue line bell type. What type of signal does the aux ringer port provide - I couldn't find that info. Also the cabling was already in place for a digital extension to plug the ATA2 into, running another cable isn't really practical. Thanks --Richard Burns-Allan
