Does anyone know how to search the field codes in a microsoft word document? Can you use VB or something? I want to do something similar to the way MS Word sets up an index but with a few modifications. Any comments would be appreciated
Does anyone know how MS Word searches a document and finds the Field Codes to create an index? There has to be a way to do it in VB or something. I think all I have to do is modify that routine. Any comments would would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Yes, I'm creating a Page and Keyword index.
I am bookmarking keywords and keyphrases then linking them to an index page.
Word repetition is solved by adding a descriptive word or two after the keyword. This will distinguish between words in the alphabetical index.
