Thanx for info. I live in South Africa. My LG dvd-rom has internal regional setting. Is there software that can over ride this. Regards Takkie- Takkie

LG DVD ROM DRD8160B
I'm running Windows 2000 Professional on my machine, and the DVD Rom is picked up, but as soon as I try to play any DVD it gives me a problem with the Regional setting. The Regional setting is set at REGION 1 and I am unable to change this. I understand that it should be Region 2. Any help...- Takkie

slow performance
I've got exactly the same problem. I've got a dual boot system, and when I open XP I experience this problem, as soon as I boot up with Win 2000 the problem is something of the past- Takkie
