    BayStack 5510 - console com port not working

    Big thanks to Dualie and Jynxx. I gave up on serial cables and used Cat5 with DB9 adapters, and it worked on the first try. This is after a lot of pounding my fist on the desk, et cetera, so I really appreciate it.

    Rick - thanks for the reply. Actually, I am using Hyperterm private edition. Forgot about that. Emulation is set to V100. I've tried both straight serial and null modem cables, with no results. We bought the switch new, and it did not come with a console cable. Any other ideas? TIA!
