Thanks for the info, but Excel documents are able to be downloads from other websites, so I think there is something else in play with that. I've verified the File Type as well as the IE 6 security settings and everything seems to be OK. I have a feeling it's either a browser issue or...- dave7273

I am having a similar problem as well. We have an ColdFusion application that downloads an XLS document to the user's PC, however we do not even get the download dialog box and the screen just sits there like it's trying to access something. If you find something out, please post the resolution.- dave7273
