I found something that will work. I placed the stamp on a buttonA then I created two more buttons. One to hide buttonA and one to show buttonA. Maybe not as sophisticated as I'd like it to be, but hey, like I said, it works.
Is there a way to program a button to place a stamp? So I want to be able to click a button and a stamp appears at a pre-determined position on the page. I am not a programmer, but I know how to cut and paste :).
I have a user who would like her tools all up on the quick Tools Toolbar (not on the tool pane on the right). I've added some buttons to it, but I'm unable to add the "place signature" item that is in the Sign Tool pane. Help says that items can be either right clicked or they can be dragged...
Thanks yet again. Maybe I just need some more guidance. I would like to learn about integrated security, but I don't know where to start and don't want to buy another product. Can you point me to a good resource on the topic of integrated security as it relates to Crystal Reports and SQL...
Thanks for the quick reply.
Sorry, I wasn't clear. The username and password do not need to be kept secret from the users. They have full access via their login to the SQL application. In addition to that, my reportuser is very locked down.
I like the idea of editing the DSN file but I have...
I'd like to make it easy for my users to run reports that are stored on a file share. I can set up an ODBC connection as a System DSN and it works fine. I was hoping to store that connection information right in the report. Is this possible? We don't have a crystal server. Crystal reports is...
I reinstalled DNS onto the server and it seemed happy. However in the DNS logs, there is an event: Event ID 800 The zone ChristEv is configured to accept updates but the A record for the primary server in the zone's SOA record is not available on this DNS server. This may indicate a...
OK that makes sense--by the way, thanks for your reply.
My church's domain was called mychurch before the new router. It took on the .local after the new router was installed. I have a feeling (cuz I'm doing most of this by feeling) that you are right on when you point to it being a DNS issue...
I am helping out at a church/school on a network that is pretty dated. They have a server with Active Directory. A few months ago their DSL went down. The company installed a new router and that router is now doing the DSL role. Prior to that we had static addresses. When they did that, the...
I need to find out what rights each of our user classes holds--specific to my i5.
*USER
*SYSOPR
*PGMR
*SECADM
*SECOFR
Thanks in advance for any help you can toss my way.
I spoke with our vendor and he was willing to change the commas to the piping symbol. I then changed FIELDTERMINATOR = '|' and it is working great.
I've since found out, (grrr) that a bulk insert might not be the complete solution. It turns out that I might have to filter the records as I...
I tried adding in quotes to my small sample, but that did not correct the issue. I now have the quotes in the fields (tried
SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON and that did't help either).
My fields all have the " in them now and the III in Leo J Trumble, III still has his III put into the next column...
It is an outside source. I can ask them to make changes to their export, however, it is somewhat important that we keep the imbedded commas if at all possible.
What did you have in mind?
I have a CSV file that I need to import into 2005.
Here’s a sample of my data:

The data is...
I have what should be a very simple form that is giving me fits. I want to have some text (static) and then some fill in fields that can expand. Then more text and more fields. I have it in a dynamic form. In heirarchy, I tried making a subform with Content set to FLOWED then under it a...
I want to combine four reports into one. They all use the same parameter--a date range using a start date and and end date for my date range (I want to break this up by month). They all use the same table (sql). I can't figure out how to get the information into one report, so I made four. Now...
